Description:
"Uncle Lem Ownby was the last of the lifetime leaseholders in the
Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Terry painted this original
in 1981. It was the first color print he published. It was done
as an attribute to the people who lived in the Smokies before the
National Park was created. Uncle Lem epitomized the qualities of
strength and character of the mountain pioneers."
